Cruises operates two classic cruise ships from the UK exclusively
for traveller’s aged 50 and over. Cruises sail to a wide variety of
destinations around the globe and guests can look forward to
friendly, excellent service and value for money on board. With a choice of excursions at most ports of call, well stocked libraries and on board activities ranging from a golf simulator to dancing lessons and guest speakers to give interesting and informative talks. Dinner is served at one sitting in the main dining rooms and the Verandah onboard Saga Pearl II and passengers may also choose to dine in the View Restaurant onboard Saga Ruby. Passengers can look forward to a varied choice of evening entertainment including operatic performances and live jazz music. Cruise Destinations Year-round itineraries include the Baltic and Norwegian Fjords, Mediterranean, Greenland, Iceland, UK, Caribbean and North Africa. Saga Round the World voyages in 2010 and 2011 will visit the Far East, Caribbean, Australasia, and the Indian Ocean. Cruise Season Saga Ruby starts 2010 on her World Cruise while Saga Pearl II will venture to the top of the World on her Inaugural cruise to Norway this March. Both ships will then spend the summer closer to home with itineraries around the British Isles, in the Baltic, Iceland and the Norwegian Fjords, with several voyages to the Mediterranean. The autumn sees voyages to North Africa and the eastern Mediterranean and the Atlantic Isles, ending the year with Christmas cruises to the Canary Islands and the Caribbean. 2011 begins with Saga Ruby’s epic World Cruise and Saga Pearl II’s faraway fly cruises to the Caribbean marking the start of Saga’s diamond anniversary celebrations. Cruise Fleet Two medium sized classic cruise ships built for long distance cruising. Saga Ruby Saga Ruby is a friendly, medium-sized ship carrying 661 passengers. Facilities include a library, ballroom, spa, top-deck gymnasium and golf simulator. As well as the main Dining Room you can dine at the more intimate View restaurant, seating 28 people, for no extra charge. Saga Pearl II The perfect complement to Saga Ruby, Saga Pearl II will offer the same classic cruise experience and excellent facilities. She will carry just 446 passengers, so her small size will ensure a particularly relaxed and intimate atmosphere onboard. |
